A GHOST that will delight Macau this Summer

The Macao Cultural Centre presents GHOST the Musical a West End and Broadway hit that will be staged at the Grand Auditorium for an exclusive 8 show-run from August 4. Based in the 1990 Academy Award-winner movie, GHOST the Musical is a technically perfect show that transports the audience to the afterlife through an adaptation written by the same screenwriter of the film. The story begins when Sam is tragically murdered in the street. Molly, his girlfriend, mourns her loss in an abyss of sorrow and loneliness, not noticing Sam’s killer is lurking around her home. Realizing she is in danger, the ghost of Sam hopes he can warn his love through Oda Mae Brown, a kooky psychic who was played by Whoopi Goldberg in the motion picture. Blending cutting–edge technology and classic stage magic designed by the same illustrator of the films Harry Potter and Hugo, GHOST the Musical displays plenty of bright, flashing lights to convey New York City’s atmosphere. The technologically advanced set uses an array of special effects complemented by a music score that brings back the sound of Unchained Melody, a romantic hit immortalized by the Righteous Brothers. Nominated for five Olivier Awards including Best Musical and three Tony Awards, the production opened in London in 2011, made its Broadway debut in 2012 and has now sold over a million tickets world-wide. Voted the ninth best musical of all time it continues to take the world by storm having toured the US, Europe and Asia. Presented by the Macao Cultural Centre, GHOST the Musical is on sale, with tickets available at various prices and discounts at CCM’s box office and Macao Ticketing Network outlets.
