Cantor Gaming expands to the mainland

U.S.-based sports betting company Cantor Gaming has just expanded to the mainland, with the opening of a gambling club in Tianjin, the Gambling Compliance website reports. The three-storey Cantor Club with 7,430 square metres of floor space will have lottery games and mahjong, lounges and private dining rooms. Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald, will provide the technology, systems and infrastructure. Cantor Gaming’s partner and project operator is Beijing-based lottery venture investor Global Entertainment Investment & Management Co. It is unclear whether the club will pay out winnings in money. Gambling for money, other than lotteries, is banned in the mainland. Cantor says the club will be the “world’s largest high-frequency lottery club”.
