Denial of accusation


The city’s Court of Final Appeal continued the criminal bribery trial of former Prosecutor-general Ho Chio Meng on Friday. During the morning trial, the President of the Court of Final Appeal, Justice Sam Hou Fai, continued to go through accusations of contracts allegedly involving shell companies set up by Ho to benefit an alleged criminal group. According to the charge, eight contracts were granted to provide remote monitoring services for the Prosecutor’s Office although never provided, with over MOP4 million (US$506,000) incurred.
