DICJ: Wynn Palace table application received

Gaming operator Wynn Macau Ltd has already filed its application for gaming tables and slot machines for its new Cotai project, Wynn Palace, expected to open next month, the director of Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau (DICJ) Paulo Martins Chan said on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of broadcaster TDM’s Macao Forum, the DICJ head claimed his bureau is currently analysing the application, perceiving it was not yet an appropriate timing to announce the details.
In the middle of this month, Secretary for Economy and Finance Lionel Leong Vai Tac said the gaming operator did not clarify the number of gaming tables and slot machines it needs in its document filed to the gaming regulator, but mentioning the number of gaming tables and slot machines that its new casino could accommodate.
Wynn Palace, scheduled to open on August 22, is set up for 500 gaming tables.
Meanwhile Mr. Chan claimed he is cautiously optimistic on the development of the local gaming industry in the second half of the year, hoping the decrease of gaming revenues could continue for the remaining of the year.
