The Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs has warned overseas Filipino workers against illegal recruiters pretending to represent Galaxy Macau hotel-casino, to open on Sunday (May 15). According to a statement from the department, Galaxy Entertainment Group, the owner of Galaxy Macau, warned the Filipino authorities about reported cases of fraud involving the “recruitment of workers by individuals claiming to be appointed agents of the entertainment group.” Galaxy reported that some illegal recruiters, using their company’s name, enticed Filipino workers with a promise of a job at Galaxy Macau.
