The MSAR Government has formed a new commission to set out targets and coordinate work relating to the city’s public administrative reforms, in addition to assisting the city to push the modernisation of its policies, a dispatch in yesterday’s Official Gazette announced.
The Public Administrative Reforms Commission, whose duties start today, is chaired by the Secretary for Administration and Justice. Other members include representatives from the Chief Executive Office, five secretariats, as well as the director and vice-director of the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau.
According to the dispatch, the commission will also coordinate different government departments to implement the reform of the civil servant system and management; reorganise organisational functions and structures; and improve and smoothen administrative processes and operations.
The chairman can invite related personnel or experts to participate in certain discussions with the Commission.
It is also given the power to form task forces to help better perform its duties, for which members can be representatives from different government departments or entities.
