Grand Waldo casino faces renovation, not demolition

The Grand Waldo casino hotel is to be renovated rather than demolished, Macau Business’ sister publication Business Daily reports. The newspaper reported that the Grand Waldo’s new owner, Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd, could not confirm how many tables the casino would have once renovated. The casino had 38 gaming tables and 148 slot machines, and its hotel had 320 rooms in May, according to Union Gaming Research Macau. The hotel ceased operations on Sunday and most of the 800 staff have been reassigned to other Galaxy Entertainment properties.
