The Office of the Secretary for Security and the Zhuhai Municipal Government are in final discussions on the management rules for vehicles with Macau licence plates entering Hengqin, according to a press release published by the Government Spokesperson’s Office yesterday. The Secretary for Security, Wong Sio Chak, revealed on Monday at the Legislative Assembly that the scheme would kick off on December 20. According to yesterday’s press release, local vehicles would need to register and get approval from the authorities before being permitted to drive to the Mainland Chinese city.
