Mainland Group Nam Yue awarded MOP362.33 million contract

The government has awarded the MOP362.33 million project for the conception and construction of the first phase of the waste sorting facilities to the Nam Yue (Group) Company Limited, according to the Official Gazette.
The dispatch, signed by Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On, declares that the Mainland state-owned company will receive MOP90.58 million this year and MOP271.75 million next year for the project.
Nam Yuen has worked previously on many projects with the Macau Government, including the Hengqin Tunnel, which collapsed during construction. At that time a report on the incident partially blamed the company, mentioning the failure by the contractor to follow safe digging procedures.
