The seventh Macau International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition begins tomorrow, and will focus on green businesses. The event, at Venetian Macao, ends on Saturday. Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute executive director Irene Lau Kuan Va said MOP25 million (US$3.1 million) would be spent on holding the event. The institute says it has scheduled 490 business-matching sessions. Last year it arranged 430 sessions. The institute has invited Nobel prizewinning economist Joseph Stiglitz to give the keynote speech.
