Rules on VIP gaming rooms for smokers clarified

The gaming regulator has defined the characteristics that a VIP gaming room should have if a casino operator wishes to allow smoking there, our sister publication Business Daily reports. The newspaper quotes the regulator as saying gamblers using VIP rooms where smoking is allowed must have special passes issued by the casino, and that the chips used in such rooms must be different from the chips used elsewhere in the casino. The government will soon ban smoking in casinos except in special smoking rooms that have no gaming tables or slot machines, and in designated VIP rooms.
