Sands delays Spain decision

Las Vegas Sands Corp said yesterday that it would wait until September before deciding whether to build a mega casino development in Spain, either in Madrid or Barcelona. There is also the chance of the project not going ahead, depending on Europe’s economy. Less than three months ago, Las Vegas Sands had said its decision on the project would come in April or May. The development is expected to have six casinos, 12 hotels, nine theatres and three golf courses. Madrid and Barcelona have been fighting against each other for the project. Las Vegas Sands is Sands China Ltd’s parent company.
