Sands China Ltd. held its first Responsible Gaming Education Week. The week-long series of activities, from October 31 to November 4, was in support of the “Responsible Gaming 2011” initiative organized by the University of Macau, the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau and the Macau Social Welfare Bureau. “The five days of activities included various efforts geared towards further increasing team members’ awareness of responsible gaming behaviour,” the gaming operator said. Over 2,000 Sands China Ltd. team members participated in a responsible gaming quiz included in the series of activities, the company said. Since 2006, Sands China Ltd. has contributed a total of MOP2.2 million to five organizations to assist their responsible gaming efforts, according to the gaming operator.
