New lifts will be installed on the footbridge near Nam Fong Building on Avenida da Amizade near the ZAPE district. The Land, Transport and Public Works Bureau (DSSOPT) received a total of eight bids for the construction works of the new lifts yesterday, according to a report by TDM Chinese Radio yesterday. The construction work is expected to begin as early as the fourth quarter of this year. The maximum duration of work is 210 days. DSSOPT says the construction work will avoid the days when the Macau Grand Prix event is taking place in November. During construction, the footbridge may be closed for one to two days.
