AERL going strong

Junket operator Asia Entertainment & Resources Ltd. reported its unaudited rolling chip turnover for October stood at US$2.11 billion (MOP16.9 billion), up 84 percent year-over-year. This compares with a year-over-year increase in gross gaming revenue for Macau of 42 percent for the same period. For the first ten months of 2011, AERL’s rolling chip turnover was US$16.47 billion, up 109 percent. “We continue to see strong demand in the VIP market, as evidenced by overall Macau gaming revenue growth and our results,” said AERL chairman Lam Man Pou. “We believe our VIP business will continue to thrive in the months ahead.” AERL currently operates VIP rooms at Galaxy Macau, StarWorld and the Venetian Macao.
