Bank says Macau’s economic growth slowed in Q2

Macau’s economy grew more slowly in the second quarter of this year because gaming revenue grew more slowly, the Bank of China’s Macau branch says. The bank predicts that the figures will show that the annual rate of growth in gross domestic product was 9.1 percent as growth in exports of services – meaning tourism and gaming – slowed. Economic growth was 12.4 percent in the first quarter. Bank of China forecasts that the economy will grow by about 9 percent or 10 percent in the third quarter.
