Broker says holiday casino revenue flow softens

Credit Suisse thinks Macau’s gaming revenue flow was weaker during this year’s Labour Day golden week of holidays than in other recent golden weeks, Barron’s reports. The magazine quotes the stockbroker as saying that in the first four days of this month casino gross gaming revenue averaged MOP1.4 billion (US$175.34 million) a day, 9 percent more than a year earlier. Barron’s also says worry grew in Macau over the weekend that the authorities over the border would tighten their control over entry to the city by mainlanders.
