Citi increases this year’s gaming revenue forecast

Macau has become a “larger gaming market” after delivering stronger-than-expected gross gaming revenue for the past four months, and the industry deserves an upgrade, a research note by Citi says. Citi has raised its gross gaming revenue forecast for this year to US$44 billion (MOP351 billion). Next year it expects US$51 billion in revenue. The increase is also based on improved tourism infrastructure, such as the Chimelong International Ocean Resort due to open this year and the extension of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai railway to Gongbei.
