Govt publishes gaming floor smoking ban rules

The government has promulgated the rules for the ban on smoking on casino gaming floors. The rules say that from October 6 smoking will be allowed only in independently ventilated smoking rooms without gaming tables or slot machines, and in VIP gaming rooms. The places where smoking is allowed must take up less than 50 percent of a casino’s gaming area. An official says the government will urge casino operators to have consideration for staff that are prepared to work in VIP rooms.
