Hainan intends to introduce video lottery terminals for the mainland’s Sports Lottery, GamblingCompliance reports. The website says video lottery terminals will probably be tried out in the province with a view to using them throughout the mainland. The Hainan provincial authorities have awarded a subsidiary of China Netcom a contract worth US$356,000 (MOP2.8 million) to supply the terminals. The Ministry of Finance has yet to approve the use of video lottery terminals.
