The combined operating profits of Macau banks fell to MOP721 million (US90.29 million) in November, the lowest in any of the first 11 months of last year, Monetary Authority of Macau data show. Business Daily says this shows that the slump in gaming revenue could be hampering the banking system. The newspaper said that until November the banking industry had been growing healthily.
