VIP operator doubles rolling chip turnover

Asia Entertainment & Resources Ltd. (AERL) posted a rolling chip turnover of US$1.34 billion (MOP10.7 billion) in December, up 100 percent year-over-year. The company operates three VIP rooms in Macau. AERL’s rolling chip turnover for 2010 in Macau was US$10.42 billion, up 101 percent year-over-year. The company stated that the rolling chip turnover growth was attributable to organic growth, the recent warrant redemption that raised gross proceeds of about US$35.5 million, as well as the completion of the acquisition of King’s Gaming Promotion Ltd, which operates a VIP room in the Venetian Macao.
